Free Prints
Following our meeting on Wednesday, and on the understanding that the third years from last year managed to get free prints for their exhibition... I tried to contact Gordon to get some info about this and to see if we could have the same privelage :P
He wasn't around when i went to find him just now, but i asked Chris and Marie who were in the office at the time about what best to do. It seems that it wasn't quite as simple as them getting free prints, but they borrowed one of the printers to take down to the exhibition space to print their stuff there with their own paper, rather it being Chris printing the work for them.
Well, basically, Chris suggests that we should ask Daniel about it first, then see where it goes from there. But we dont even know if we need to print bigger than A3 at the moment... so i dont know what we should do about this, coz i understand the reason for finding out is that if we do want prints, we dont want to leave it too late for Chris and co. because they'll be bogged down with lots of printing etc. around that time. So...
Any suggestions please??

Submissions Team Require Assistance
Hey guys. As everyone saw today we haven't really had all that many submissions and the deadline for people to hand in work is drawing near. We need to make as many people aware of this project as soon as possible. Basically the submissions team are going to need help because at the moment it is just far too large a task to contact other uni courses, graduates, online artists etc etc with the current number of team members. We need people to actively help us, because as everyone saw today the work submitted so far is not exactly overwhelming. Everyone should really have a hand in this now that we have pinned down the exhibition space, as it is the most important factor over the next two weeks. It is all well and good to have an exhibition space but it's not going to reflect very well on us if we have poor quality work or, worse yet, no work to actually exhibit!
We need to contact course directors for various art courses still and this will require lots of help, as tracking down emails is incredibly time consuming. Please let me know if you can help, but in the meantime I would encourage everyone to notify ALL of their friends about the exhibition as you never know who may be interested.
Thanks team. Lee

My furnitures

Here are the furniture that I can supply for our upcoming exhibition. As you can see it is one orange chais. One computer desk and bookshelfs.
I know the pic's are not the best hahahaaa BUT to my defense we are moving and they are all in my flat mates room ;)
Oh I do have a new black blind that never been used so IF we need that for anything Im more than happy to give it away aswell.
Yeeah man... Miss oHman is off to bed.. long day.
Goodnight all! x

the head shots
I have a booking for the shoot!!! and lots more promising e-mails, it seems we are getting a good response from StarNow.
I have forwarded this e-mail, can somebody make a profile on the website? I would do it but I don't have a suitable head shot.
Hi Liz,
I saw the notice for your headshot open day on StarNow todat and it sounds like a good opportunity for our community of actors at BTMS (www.bethemoviestar.com)
We would like to invite you to promote it for free as an entry on the BTMS Digest which will be viewed online and emailed out to over ten thousand subscribers. Here is the link to the post: http://www.bethemoviestar.com/mail/main.php?l=digest.list
ljsecret
Okay guys,
I contacted one of the mods of the livejournal-secret community ljsecret and asked the moderators for their support. Yesterday the answer was that it was going to go through to the other mods for approval and now I have got an email address so we can work out the details.
If this goes through, then I suppose we can expect some advertising and obviously a post where people definitely WILL submit images (ljsecret has their own strict rules regarding pornography etc but we can mention it again) and in return we should mention them as collaborating partner/support/... or something else.
Good stuff?

photo society still on!
hey guys,
after that little panic we went down to the su and expressed our concerns to the guy. we were gonna leave it and withdraw our application but we've been assured that we can use the society to host a fundraising event and that we don't have to be that active with the student body...it's gonna be really expensive to hold a night in the SU but they have contacts for bars and clubs which would require a much smaller budget. if 1rst and 2nd years sign up we can also ask them to submit work for the exhibition as their first assignment for the society, keeping them happy and giving us a bit more material to work with...unfortunately we still have to go to the inauguration party, but in the bigger scheme of things it's only one night and an excuse to all go out together and get merry!
Confirmation of Our Gallery Space
I guess i will do the honours just to announce the gallery space we have chosen for the benefit of those who were unable to attend the meeting today.

After setting the deadline for today to decide on the gallery space, by a majority vote, the group have agreed on the Foundry space in Shoreditch, which Kate has confirmed with the owners and booked us in for Tuesday 2nd December to Sunday 7th December.
(All those who could not attend, the group had to make a decision today, as we could not leave it any longer, so we voted on the basis of those in attendance.)
I hope that after the events that unfolded today that we have thought about it, and have all learnt some things. I guess it is exactly all these things which will test our ability to work as a team, and our ability to solve problems. I wish not to dwell on the matter but just to clarify those things said today, i hope that our disagreements won't stop us from working together, and that we can act in a professional way in all aspects of this project, from the way we present our views, to the running of meetings, or our attitude towards one another.
Let us continue to work forwards towards the making of a great exhibition, and to the bonding of a great class! (I should superimpose my head onto a picture of Barack Obama lol).
P.S. I'm hoping that Lee is going to post up the proper minutes for the meeting at some point :D
