I haven’t seen this video work but I agree with Kate…the quality of the works you exhibit will reflect on you as the curators and be detrimental to the quality of the other works. Which brings me to the cheese grater…I have seldom come across a work of such ‘quality street wrapper’ value, which prompts me to suggest that if it is to remain in the exhibition, it should be very very secret and be made virtually impossible to find. If anyone wants to try to convince me of its hidden virtues then do please try….I will try to be there for 6:30pm.
Well done so far and good luck.

I agree with both Kate and Pat, we should be really careful what we have on the show, because let's not forget that it's the work that matters the most, so we should focus on that!
If we take them out though we run the risk of seeming really unprofessional. We have told these artists their work will be involved and they will be coming tonight expecting to see their work. The selection committee chose the works on a majority wins basis and therefore we have to be democratic I feel. I would also like to point out that I am the one who has had all communication with these people and they not only know my name but my telephone number. I don't want to get a load of angry calls if people do decide to remove these pieces. Also the posters and handouts have been produced now. The artists are on the literature. Another reason we can't really remove them now. The final works have been chosen for two weeks now and I feel people had plenty of time to voice their concerns when we showed the work in class
Yep well it seems the cheese grater went down well with some folk...there is no accounting for taste!
i think though there is an interesting point there about how differently some works come across in documentation to in the flesh as it were.
